PTI: Dress Up Inspiration. We were to choose something from our closet, or an image we liked and use it as our inspiration. I loved the combination of color, white and denim in this photo.
I stamped PTI Background Basics: Chevron Stripes in a rainbow of colors. The flowers from PTI Ruby Rose were embossed with CTMH Silver Pearl embossing powder. The card base was stamped with SU! Canvas background stamp in versamark.
For the Grab and Craft challenge, we had just five minutes to grab items from our craft supply, but needed to use all of them in a new card. I haven't had the chance to play with Everyday Button Bits yet (though I've had it a while) so I started there. I also found this fibrous paper buried in an old pile. I don't know where it came from, or how long I've had it, but it's high time I used it! The chalks I have also had forever, and rarely used.
This card came together surprisingly easily! I love how Everyday Button Bits does all the hard work for you!
The PTI challenge for the day was to find an image on Pinterest of interesting gift wrapping, and create your own using PTI products. I found an image of a cute sour cream container, that had been stitched, instead of glued (here's the link). I pulled out my Star Prints stamp set and created a little treat container for my boys for valentine's day.
For today's anniversary challenge at Papertrey Inc we needed to create a card with our favorite Year of the Flowers set. I love daffodils!! They are always so cheery. I struggled trying to balance this on a card, and wound up closely imitating a card Heather Nichols made with this set. She is always a wonderful inspiration when I'm completely stuck!!
